Treasurer’s Report:

$785.85 in bank, &51.52 cash on hand. $1,719.56 paid out for coolers mainly from member donations. Motion to accept Gene Wolf and seconded by Rick Warren.

Old Business:

Young Eagle day flew 44 young people with 22 left to fly at special Young Eagle Day on Sept. 16th.  We will send this info to the EAA national.

New Business:

The next regular semi-annual Young Eagles Day will be Sept. 16th. We still seek a coordinator for this event as well as volunteers.

We received a letter from Dave French, as did the Museum concerning interest in a campground on the field. This would be for a camping area with restrooms, showers, etc. Discussion included our need to be included in the planning process. Our chapter would not be responsible for any cost of the project. A motion to support the project was made by Gene Wolf and seconded by Scott Brackett.

Mike Finnigan suggested we market ourselves as the gateway to Grand Canyon West, and the Grand Canyon. We have an excellent location to build upon.

Discussion on whether we wanted a presence at October’s Air & Auto Show. Rick said he would provide his trailer again. We need at least 10 passes for members who will man the display. The vote was unanimous to participate. Motion made by Mike F. and seconded by Malcolm Hart.

Rick Warren is going to Oshkosh; so if anyone wants any tees, hats or whatever, please get money to him soon.
