From the President:

Thanks to everyone who came out to the February meeting the 21st. We missed those of you who could not be there. Thanks to Rick Warren for giving an excellent presentation on aircraft power management that was informative and useful. We are trying to have a 5-10 minute “program” for every meeting and encourage all members who have something to share which would further members’ knowledge of General Aviation to contact me so I can schedule you for one of our monthly meetings.

NOTE:  March 14th Meeting is a POTLUCK!

April 22nd is the date for our “Young Eagles Day” and “Merit Badge Day” which will be here before we know it.  Please help by spreading the word, informing parents and youth between the ages of 8 and 17 what it is all about, signing up to be a “Young Eagle Pilot” and giving rides in your airplane, or being available to “man” one of the stations for the merit badges. Even though someone is on the list for a position, it is best if two individuals share posts as this will allow for breaks. I will have copies of the “new” Flyer for the event that you can take with you and possibly secure a spot on a bulletin board or window that would help advertise and inform the public. Please see Scott Brackett and/or King Sharpe to volunteer as they are co-coordinators for the event.

March 14th is our 1st  Quarterly  Potluck Meeting. We will be starting at 6:30 p.m. in our hangar and I hope you will come out and be part of the gathering. I have invited the “IGM AERO Club” to join with us and share a meal together. Harry May is the Chairman and would like your help and participation. You can call him at 781-5896.

Live aviation radio?
I've been online listening to recordings from air traffic control centers. What fun! If you're a flying enthusiast, stop by LiveATC.net and listen for yourself.
At LiveATC, you'll hear live streams from air traffic control centers. Most streams come from the United States, but some are from elsewhere.
To hear streams from a specific time and place, visit the archives. The recordings go back two weeks.
If you live near an airport, maybe you'd like to help out. With a scanner and an always-on Internet connection, you can stream audio to the site.          www.liveatc.net
