Visit our chapter website, and then make some contribution to it. Mike has done an outstanding job. Please send him photos, personal histories and anything else you would like to see posted. From the President Our hangar has two new signs each two-foot tall and twelve-foot wide which are easily seen and should help individuals find our hangar. Thanks to the members who took the time to assemble the signs and install them. Election time is here and we must elect Officers and Directors at our November meeting. We need an “Election Committee” to prepare a slate of nominees that are willing to become involved in the operation and oversight of our chapter. Three volunteers are needed according to our By-Laws to oversee the election. |
On September 16th. we are going to fly the Young Eagles that were did not receive a ride. I’ve have contacted the parents of the twenty-two (22) youth and we should have around 16 individuals to fly. We are not having “stations” as each individual has already completed paper work. We will need the “Flight Desk” to print certificates. We still need workers so please come on out and join us.
John Pool, President

This is a Zenith Zodiac 601 XL that I flew when I went to the Santa Rosa, CA last month. It climbed-out at 1200 fpm with 400 lb payload plus fuel with an Lycoming O-235 engine doing the pushing. I was impressed.
It is the same type of kit aircraft that Paul George, Malcolm Hart, and myself are building. I enjoyed flying 601BA and gained insight into its flying characteristics which hopefully will make the test flying of our plane pleasant and safe.

Around the Field
Scott Brackett advised that the Airfield Committee is to decide on a completely new ramp, more than likely south of AV fuel. Pavement preservation will take place this fall, it will be posted prior to starting.
There is talk of issuing cards to access the ramp so we must get the message out. Scott would like everyone to provide their sage advice in written form to Kingman Airport Authority or the Airfield Committee.
Still in the works is a composite shop and avionics shop on the west side of Aero Flite.
